Enter the world of Daggerblade and attempt to discover the source of the curse that has granted you power, the power to fight off the horrors that now chase you at each step.
Explore the Sanguine Isles and battle against waves of enemies that are drawn to the cursed blade you bear, or is the curse inside of you?
Daggerblade: The price of Sanity is a Plants vs Zombies/Slay The Spire inspired, top-down isometric game where the game transitions into a tile-based board upon entering combat. Enemies are on the board and progress down. The player can use spells and build structures to deal damage and kill enemies, or otherwise hinder them or interact with the environment. Each encounter is different, and it’s up to the player to use their abilities strategically to achieve victory.
The Price of Sanity takes place in a lovecraftian inspired post-corrupted world which has been deeply scarred down to its very roots. A dark twisted environment where the trees breathe and the earth pulses beneath your feet.
The Daggerblade, being a seal for an extra dimensional wound in the world, beckons the main character to pick it up and unleash the wound. A calamity ensues (presumably this is what begins summoning Cthulhu). Using the power of the dagger, the main character tries to right the wrongs of their mistake by killing/sealing Cthulhu.
