A downloadable game for Windows

Once one, now two.

Torn together, chained apart.

‘Body’ and ‘Soul’ on a spiritual journey towards unity.

Tamashii is made by Game Art– and Programming students from Futuregames in Malmö, Sweden.

For our fourth and final Game Project we were only given a theme and four weeks to finish.

Tamashii is a Two Player, Co-op, side-scrolling platformer promising to give you either:

A relaxing experience, calmly enjoying the scenery as you brave the four seasons.

..or

a frustrating one, dragging Player Two along wishing they would time their jumps better.

Our main mechanic is a ‘Soul Tether’.

It keeps the two players tethered (duh), has resistance and therefore pulls them towards each other when they stray too far apart.

Will the thread of friendship help you scale the highest mountain or will it drag you towards the deepest pits of frustration?

Our assigned theme was ‘Seasons’.

In Tamashii the seasons change as you journey towards your goal.

To push it further we tied it together with a day/night cycle to amplify each season's vibe and color.

Each season has its own identity with unique foliage, materials, lighting, sounds and visual effects.

Achieve unity and find peace.
