The Story
You are Doctor Dan - a surveyor sent out by the Norwegian tourism department, to investigate a settlement in northern Norway called Røsvik, once home to outcasts, faith-healers, and pagan holdouts. Officially, the settlement was abandoned due to "unstable terrain," but the locals talk of something more sinister.
The game focuses on scavenging for resources, unlocking mystical powers, and interacting with an atmospheric, dangerous, emergent environment.
As the player uncovers ancient relics, geological samples, and lost equipment, they will gain access to supernatural abilities and be forced to navigate the cursed landscape while avoiding mythological threats.
Røsvik is a narratively driven horror-mystery survival crafting game and the main target audience is teens and adults 16+ who enjoy games like; outlast, resident evil 7, valheim, the long dark etc. It’s a High-risk High-reward game e.g. Losing your gear when dying, and the gameplay loop consists of:
- Finding resources
- Crafting new gear in the camp
- Going out into new areas with your newly crafted gear
- Encountering a different types of monsters
- Tension based decision making (fight or flight)
- Gaining mystical powers
- Unlocking new areas with your powers
- Dying and respawning in your rune-circle, in basecamp

We are in the Beta stage.
After a deep dive into the Scope of the game - we have re-focused and made some major changes to our GDD. This has fueled our team as a whole and we are very enthusiastic about our Beta when going into the process of creating our Candidate Master Build in the upcoming weeks.

Amazing game, you really feel that it creates Tension based decision making (fight or flight) and Dying and respawning in your rune-circle in basecamp is such a fun idea! I especially liked Finding resources, Crafting new gear in camp, Going out into new areas with your crafted gear and Encountering monsters
