A downloadable game for Windows
Captured on an alien planet and infused with telekinetic powers and elemental abilities, you must creatively leverage your enhanced arm to escape a chaotic research facility filled with dangerously modified creatures. Experiment with manipulating the environment and applying elemental effects to objects to overcome obstacles and enemies to survive.
How to play the game (Important!)
Project Neila is a singleplayer game for PC.
Due to a bug, after starting the game, you must press the Windows Key or Alt+Tab to show the mouse cursor, then click "Play" to get rid of the menu.
Controls are displayed in the bottom right corner of the screen. Press E to pick up objects using Telekinesis, then Left Click to throw them. Press and hold Right Click on an object, then drag and release the right mouse button on another object to attach them.
Process
The game is currently in its Beta phase, meaning game mechanics and systems are implemented but unpolished, and much of the level is undecorated and using blockout models.
The game's core mechanic (Telekinesis) is mostly finished, but others such as using goop to attach objects and a zero-gravity gas are still being improved and worked on.
Enemies are also unfinished, both in their behaviour (movement, attacks, etc) and visuals. Both enemies lack animations as of yet, and one (the ball) does not yet have a finished 3D model or textures.
The Player Character is using a placeholder model and animations, but the final, yet-to-be-implemented Player Model can be seen in the game's starting room!
Playtester information
All Playtest feedback is appreciated, but please remember that the game is still in an early and unfinished state.
In particular, we are looking for feedback on the feel and functionality of our core gameplay, as well as anything that seems unclear or confusing to the player (Where to go, how things work).
